Can Internet Marketing Be a Long Term Business?

Here is the basic honest truth: most of the people get into Internet Marketing because they are convinced it is an easy way to earn quick money. Their approach is to make a fast website, put up some advertising and a few affiliate links and then sit back and watch while they earn real cash. There are a large amount of individuals who do this and also earn lots of money on the internet. But what if you want more than some extra or even quick cash (quick cash, naturally being a misnomer)? Can Internet Marketing really be leveraged to produce a worthwhile and long term career?

The quick and dirty answer is that yes, you are able to make Internet Marketing your long term and sustainable career. You only need to take on the project properly. The procedures and programs you use to build something to earn fast money are not all that different than the methods and systems you will use to build long term profits. So what would you do if you need to develop a sustainable career on the internet?

It is very important that the first thing you do, in order to earn long term money online, is accept the fact that you are going to have to do real work. You will have to do actual and real work on a daily basis and you will have days when you feel fantastic about what you do and days when you wish you could find something else to take on. This causes it to be just about like every other occupation that is out there. If you want to produce lasting cash flow by working lots right now and not at all later on then you are going to be in for a rude awakening in a little while. So be ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work.

There are a few ventures that lend themselves much better to a long term career than others will. Affiliate marketing, to use one example, is a great task for someone who wants to earn money on a part time basis or to supplement your already existent income. Is it truly possible to earn a full time income in this manner? You could if you pick out only the right products and then work like crazy to promote them. A far better approach, nevertheless, is to create your own products or websites and then promote those. This gives you full control over the projects you take on and how you accomplish them. And you will end up more likely to stick with it in the long run. If you want to give a service on the web this works much the same way. Writers, for example, need to create websites for themselves and create portfolios that they can point to as examples of their work.

Finally, perhaps the most significant thing that you need to recognize is that, when you want to build a long term and reliable income on the internet, you need to truly dedicate yourself to your task. You might have fun and feel rewarded by your efforts but first you should tell yourself "yes, I really want to do this." Making a half hearted effort is not about to get you anywhere.

Why You Should Create More Abundance in Your Life

Money is the root of all evil ... Or is it?

What I have been taught to believe about money was that money is no good. Money could never make you happy. Money is bad, because then you value earthly things. Money is for physical gratification. You cannot attain spiritual greatness if you have a lot of money. Money is like a "god" which competes with your religion. When someone is rich he is described as being "filthy rich."

Why have we been taught this? Who would benefit by it? Yet, there are some people who effortlessly create wealth. Some people get rich even though they are in the same occupation than others, and some never get rich. Why are some people rich and others not?

The principle of wealth creation is a "hidden secret" because although the wealthiest people in the world have gained their wealth through the use of these principles, they have not always been consciously aware that they were using them. What do these wealthy individuals have in common ... and can you copy their wealth creating processes to attract wealth for yourself?

You can actually manifest or attract anything you can imagine. But before you can learn that, you need to be able to take full responsibility for your current situation, because your current situation is the direct result of what you're thinking, feeling and believing. Most people have a problem with taking responsibility and believe that they are victims from external situations and have no control over them. It is easier to blame someone or something than to take responsibility for your thoughts and actions. But consider this: Are we really just reacting to things happening to us? Should life just happen to us? Does it mean that we are put on this earth to just react to our environment? What then would be the purpose of life? Do we have no choice in the matter and no freedom? Are we slaves to circumstances? Are we not created in the image of the Creator where we are also creators of our own world ... our own destiny?

Hopefully, you can see that if you are a normal human being, it is perfectly all right to desire to be rich. It is when you are rich that you can show your love more deeply, whereas you cannot express your love freely in poverty. It is when you are rich that you can support worthy causes and really make a difference to someone's life. It is when you are rich that you can live out your religion like you should and give to charity. Most people live for the body alone, but now you can grow in mind, body and spirit.

So, give all your attention to The Science of Getting Rich. You owe it to yourself, the ones you love, to God and to society. For it is only when you live an abundant life, that you are truly fulfilled.

Do you have the courage to be rich?

Choosing a Good Affiliate Program

Affiliate marketing is a method that promotes web businesses. Affiliate marketing and the Internet make a great partnership when it comes to making money online. Nowadays, surfing the Internet means earning money. Choosing the best affiliate program is earning money and learning the online business at the same time. Take the chance, affiliate program is the best option Internet has to offer.

Some programs will accept completely newbie’s and some won’t. Those which will take you in may offer more or less, depending on their philosophy and resource allocation policies. What does all this mean for you?

If they take you in, what they can offer you are an e-book that will take through the basics of Internet marketing, then you are very likely to fail. Very few people have enough time to sift through million of Internet guides and article directories to find useful information. And then maybe you will stumble right from the start on useful information, but will it help you? It will not probably help you because you won’t have the ability to know what the hype is and what works for you.

What you want is an affiliate associate program with a very different approach when it comes to couching new people. What you need most of all is to have categorized affiliate marketing resources. You need to know what to learn and how to learn. If they are serious about working with new affiliates, they will have guides and tutorials that will teach you how to promote their products, where to find customers, how to stand up from the crowd of competitors etc.

If you don’t know how to make a web site, you don’t have a web site – maybe then can arrange for you a free web site or they will teach you how to build one for a fraction of the price a designer will ask. You need sales copies, you need testimonials from real customers, you need pictures, you need to build FAQ pages – all in all you need marketing tools to promote your business. The affiliate program you’ve joined should provide you with all these and then some. The more marketing resources they can allocate, the better off you are.

It is important that their support is always there from the start. The reason why most of the affiliates quit is because they are not satisfied with the results and no one is there to answer all their questions and worries. Most all affiliate programs’ managers know that 10% of their affiliates make up for 90% of their incoming cash flow. If you want to be in the upper 10%, you will have to work closely with the support team and be willing to dedicate a lot of your time to learning the best techniques and methods of making money on the Internet.

Don’t just waste time and be contented with the slow results you have right now when you can have more than what you wanted. Choose a good affiliate program which can help you develop new skills and earn cash at the same time.

Finding True Success In This World

Most of the success created by great business people really has little to do with trends, climate, and circumstance. These great leaders can create a profit in any kind of circumstances. Of course they take advantage of trends and everything else, but they do not rely on them

Everything in this world has outside influence, but it comes down to realization of self-evaluation and the ability to alter what is and isn't bringing success. I believe that there are things out there we can take advantage of that can help us, but in the end it comes down to you as the individual.

You have the obligation to look at yourself in the mirror and say, "What positive things are being done and what can I build on? What am I doing wrong that I can fix?" People don't realize that success lies in the subtlest of changes. These changes can alter the course of one person's existence.

The gap between yes and no and right and wrong are not that far apart. As easy as it is to fail in the business world, it truly is as easy to be successful. It comes down to you and your determination. Can you fail enough until you learn how to do it right or will you succumb to fear, pressure, and depression?

"Every time I fail," said Thomas Edison, "I learn something." He tried 1,114 times to find a filament to stay lit in a bulb. He failed 1,113 times. That might look on the surface as a failure, but yet he became one of the most valued individuals of our time and impression is felt even today.

What can be said for you and your road to success? You can look at your failures as roadblocks or steps toward your eventual triumph. It is truly up to you and your mindset. One important fact that needs to be noted that when you are evaluating your business make sure to not only realize the errors, but also notice the success.

Value those moments and compliment those that helped you to accomplish them. If you focus on negativity a lot then you will only create more negativity and failure. If you focus on success and doing whatever you can to achieve it then there will come a time when all you expect and look for is success.

You will know what it looks like and how it tastes. It will be as common to you as any of the feelings of your senses. It will seem natural and people will call it so. They will claim that you had a natural born gift. They will believe that you were blessed with it and will envy you. Hopefully deep down inside you will know that they have the same capacity, but lack possibly the knowledge to help them accomplish it.

Nothing comes that natural unless you make it a natural part of your life. What is exciting about success is that when you do it in one area then you can do it in numerous other areas. It will seem endless to you. That is why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

It is a widening gap that requires a greater deal of education for those that don't have those tools and just maybe you are the one to give it

Using Camtasia To Fatten Your Affiliate Marketing Checks

Since there are already lots of people getting into affiliate marketing, it is no wonder that the competition is getting stiff. The challenge is to try and outdo other affiliates and think of ways to be able to attain this.

There are also many tips and techniques being taught to these affiliate in order to best plan their strategy for their program to work effectively so that more earnings will be achieved.

What better way to wow your prospects and customers than to record and publish top notch, full motion and streaming screen-captured videos. Nothing like feeling your hard work getting paid by having your customers jumping up excitedly in great anticipation to buy your product right there and then.

This is Camtasia in action. It is a proven fact; giving your customers something they can actually see can explode your online sales instantly.

You do not need to have trainings and education to be able to know how this system can work for your affiliate program. Anyone can create stunning videos, from multimedia tutorials and step-by-step presentations available online. The process is like having your customers seated next to you and looking at your desktop, as you show them the things they need to see and hear. All this done step by step.

For those who do not know it yet, how does Camtasia works?

1. It can record your desktop activity in a single click. No need to have to save and compile all your files because it is recorded right there and then.

2. Can easily convert your videos into web pages. Once converted you can have your customers visiting that certain page. Videos are easier to understand and take in unlike reading texts which oftentimes is a trying thing to do.

3. Upload your pages. Publish them through blogs, RSS feed and podcasts. You may want your Camtasis videos to get around and reach out to other people that may be potential customers in the future. Nothing like being visible in many sites and pages to advertise yourself and get your message through.

There are other things you can do with your affiliate program using Camtasia. You can?

Create stunning multimedia presentations that are proven to increase sales because all the senses are engaged. This also has the tendency to reduce skepticism among hard-to-please customers.

Reduce refunds and other customer issues by demonstrating visually how to use your product and how to do it properly. Complaints will also be minimized because all the facts and the presentation are there for the customers to just see and hear about.

Promote affiliate products and services using visual presentations. This is an effective way of redirecting your viewers straight to your affiliate website after they are finished with the video. Make the most of the presentation by putting your site location in the end and make them go there directly if they want more information.

Multiple your online auction bids exponentially when you give your readers a feel of what you have to offer. Based from reports, auctions that includes pictures increases bidding percentage by 400%. Imagine how much higher it will be if it were videos.

Publish valuable infoproducts that you can sell for a much higher price. It will be all worth the price because of the full colored graphics menu and templates that you will be using.

Minimize miscommunication with your customers. Instantly showing them what you want they wanted in the first place is making them understand clearly the essence of your affiliate program. The good thing about multimedia is, nothing much can go wrong. It is there already.

These are just some of the things you can do with Camtasia that can be very helpful in your chosen affiliate program.

Note that the main purpose of using Camtasia is to boost the income that is generated from your affiliate program. Although it can be used for entertainment and enjoyment purposes, which is not really a valid reason why you choose to get all through that trouble.

Try to focus on the goal that you have set upon yourself to and achieve that with the use of the things that may be quite a lot of help in increasing your earnings.

The Cheapest And Fastest Way To Advertise On The Internet

Posting on forums is one of the cheapest and fastest ways in which you can advertise affiliates products on the Internet. However, in order to do this successfully, you must do a number of things carefully.

Warning! Simply starting a thread that contains an affiliate link might be a good way to get banned from a particular forum board, but it will never be a good way to make sales.

The general procedure involves making multiple posts on a forum board before you even setup a signature file, which includes a link to your site. Even if the particular forum you are using does not specifically mandate this, you will want to do this, anyway, as it will increase your credibility, which is your real goal.

You can start by finding a number of forums for your particular niche or marketing angle.

Now, once you have found a number of directories that match your specific marketing angle and affiliate product, you will want to investigate to determine whether or not they have excess rules regulating signature files.

For instance, some sites do not allow any links in signature files; others, by contrast, allow links, but do not allow any commercial links. Make sure you know what the rules are before you post. Otherwise, you are simply setting yourself up to be banned from the forum.

Next, take the list of forums you have created, that are both relevant to your topic and allow commercial links and begin developing a reputation on those forums. Post regularly, avoid meaningless fights and flaming, and contribute useful, on-target information to discussions. In a matter of 1-2 weeks, you will have developed a reputation, provided that the forum receives a considerable amount of traffic.

Once you have developed a good reputation, you will want to begin advertising through your forum signature. Ideally, you will want to include some eye-catching assortment of colors, symbols, and words in your signature.

This will draw people's attention. You will then want to link them to something other than an affiliate page, whether it be a page you created to sell an affiliate product or an auto responder course used to capture email addresses.

Remember to repeat this process in all applicable forums. Look for high traffic forums that allow commercial link posting in signature files and that also happen to fit with your specific audience-targeting and marketing angle goals.

Next, create a reputation. Last, add your signature in some attractive way that draws visitors' attention, but is also likely to convert them into interested clickers. You will find that this form of advertising pays off considerably and does so faster than other methods available.

What is a Niche Market Anyway?

Let's be clear about this, a "niche" is a specialty field, a specific corner of a larger more general subject. Keep this in mind because it's the basis for this entire discussion.

Much like doctors are in the business of curing people and specialize in various specific parts of medicine (i.e. Microsurgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics), a Niche Marketer would settle into one or more specific areas of marketing rather than a generalized area such as "How to Start an Internet Business".

Of course, one could continue to work that field, but still find a niche within it by getting more specific. For example, you could go into "Starting an Online Business in Computer Programs", or "Building an Online Marketing Career in Real Estate", etc. The key to creating a niche for you is to narrow things down to a less competitive area of the general category.

However, the sky's the limit when you move away from the "how-to" online business arena, and develop your niche markets in product lines that are more attractive to the average online browser or shopper.

Even without your own product to sell, you can capture an enormous amount of business using affiliate programs that allow you to sell just about anything.

So thinking along this line, it's easy to see that you could "niche" your way into the online marketing business with almost any topic you choose, as long as you get specific enough to thin the herd of competitors by narrowing things down.

In any event, that's what niche marketing is all about. Finding a specific topic, narrowing it down, and finding the target group to sell it to.

The trick is in the balance. That is, finding a marketable product line that you can narrow down to its smallest denominator without alienating the vast majority of people who might be looking for that type of product. It would be useless to whittle your specialty niche so far down to where only a few shoppers search for what you sell.

You’d no doubt "corner the market" that way, but the market would be so small that you wouldn't make any money at it.

So it's important to do the research and test the market before investing your time and money into a niche market. That way you can assure yourself that you have a good audience with as few competitors as possible.

In fact, this first step is the most time consuming, yet the most vital part of becoming a successful niche marketer.

How to Write Great Ebooks

The process of writing an e-book is fairly straightforward if you follow a few simple tips. Before you begin, it helps to get your ideas organized; otherwise your book could end up an utter mess. Before you even start writing, figure out the topic of your book. What do you want to discuss? What kind of information do you want to distribute? Who is your target audience?

Next, write down a list of ten ideas or topics that you plan to cover in the book. These topics should provide readers with good information directly related to the theme of your e-book. If you have expert knowledge in a certain field, for example, your e-book should offer valuable information that readers can’t find anywhere else.

If you plan on selling or giving away an e-book for the purpose of advertising your other products or services, the book should provide helpful information, not just fluff. A well-written e-book containing loads of interesting information can be the best marketing tool you’ve ever come across. The impression you make with your E-book is important a good one will nab you more customers, while a bad one may turn potential customers away.

Most people give e-books away for free as a way to inform people about the products they’re selling online. Every time a person downloads your e-book, you have a chance to advertise your business and gain more customers. People love free stuff, especially if it’s something of value. A good e-book also has the potential to drive traffic to your websites, increasing your monthly visitors and upping your income stream from ad revenue.

Once you’ve written down 10 main topics to discuss in the e-book, get brainstorming by writing 500 words for each topic of interest. If you have a tendency to suffer from writer’s block, and don’t know how to get started with writing your e-book, this is a beneficial exercise. Start with an introduction to each section (these will become the opening paragraphs of each chapter) and then write about 2-3 main ideas related to the topic at hand. Finish with a brief summary.

This is a great way to begin the process of writing an e-book because it will get the juices flowing, and at the end of it all, you’ll have about 10 pages of good information to start off with.

In your e-book, include links to your website or another free offer you provide. This way you can promote more than one website in one e-book. Just make sure all the information flows smoothly, and your book doesn’t come across as one big ad. Always provide the reader with useful knowledge and insights. People know when they’re reading nonsense, and won’t want to buy your products if your e-book comes across as too cheesy.

After you’ve finished the initial ten pages, fill in each chapter with sufficient information until you’ve completed the entire book. Write a little each day and before you know it, you’ll have an e-book ready to be distributed across the web. But don’t forget to proofread and edit the piece before you publish

Manifest a Miracle

Manifest a Miracle is unlike ANY other Law of Attraction book I’ve read.

Normally when I read about the Law of Attraction, I get all excited and ready to attract my every desire.  But I never have the success I expect, and I always wind up feeling disappointed.

I was excited about Manifest a Miracle too, but the real excitement happened after I read the book.

Was I shocked when I manifested my first desire within three days?  Was I in awe that good things started happening to me every day?  Was I amazed to find out how easy this was, when nothing had worked for me in the past?

To say I was blown away is a huge understatement.  Here was this one simple book that had changed my life overnight!
In fact, I believe this is the most powerful book ever written on the Law of Attraction.  Manifest a Miracle teaches everything you need to begin manifesting your every desire right now!

But the best part of the book is how lovingly it was crafted by the author.  Gary Evans is a man who is obviously manifesting his desires, and his warmth and excitement can be felt in the book’s every word.  I felt happy just reading it, but what happened when I began applying the processes was what REALLY excited me!

This isn’t your usual Law of Attraction book, focusing on the theory behind the Law and offering a few exercises that sound better in print than when actually used.

This is THE definitive guide to getting the Law of Attraction working for you this very moment!  Manifest a Miracle is pure gold.
If you’re serious about using the Law of Attraction to live the life that you desire, this one’s a no-brainer.

If you want to manifest your desires with ease and begin really enjoying life, grab Manifest a Miracle today.

How to Build on Your Success by Becoming More Decisive

Are you the type of person that makes decisions quickly or do you find it difficult to make your mind up? When it comes to getting a job done and meeting a deadline your success can depend on the ability to be decisive. Many people fail to meet deadlines because of indecision. Not only do they let people affect their ability to make prompt and definite decisions but they hesitate due to factors involving their own decisiveness.

Procrastination is a weakness that many of us may face on a daily basis. The ability to be decisive when it comes to avoiding distractions is important if you are to succeed in reaching your potential. Too many people make excuses for not chasing their goals early on in life continuously putting their dreams to one side and saying they will come back to them when “the time is right”. However, you only have a chance of succeeding in reaching those aims if you start acting immediately.
The biggest achievers of this world have shown that their success comes from quick decisive action and the ability to take stock of situations when things do not go to plan and to change decisions when necessary. Henry Ford was an example of someone who used his decision making ability to full effect. Some might say he was so determined when he made a decision that he was stubborn. His model T car was made despite the advice of many of his staff who said it would be the ugliest car around. Although this turned out to be partly correct and the car was not as successful as other models, Ford still stuck to his guns and made a fortune from the model. Now, regardless of what would have happened if he had scrapped it, Ford showed that by being strong minded and decisive he was able to make something succeed that most people doubted.

To become more decisive you need to be able to ignore the opinions of others. If you want to make sacrifices and chase your dream doing something that satisfies your inner desires, you need to listen to yourself and no one else. Friends and family may try to discourage you from your goals as they may think they know what is best for you. However, your burning desire to succeed at something should be all the encouragement you need to take those first steps towards achieving immediate goals.
One major problem with the education system is that it does not teach the youth about the working world enough. Too many students work their hearts out trying to get the best grades they can only to find that they have no idea what to do with themselves after graduating. Schools, colleges and universities do not encourage people to make decisions before they finish studying and so the habit of indecision stays with people as they go into work. It may be necessary to take any job straight away after leaving your studies behind you whilst you think about what you want to do with your future. However, many will find that they are stuck in that same job a year or later and are unable to climb the career ladder.

You need to find the courage to make a definite decision about your future. You should sit down and analyse yourself, your strengths and weaknesses, what you think you are capable of and what you want to achieve in life. Then you must do your own research and not be held back by others or hold yourself back by procrastinating.

You Can Write Articles ... If You Just Get Started

Are you looking for the most powerful way to generate traffic to your web site? Then look no further than writing and submitting articles. Best of all, this traffic is FREE (or at least very cheap).

There are 3 ways to get articles. You can hire someone else to write it for you (this cost can soon add up). Or you can purchase and submit PLR (Private Label Reprint) articles. Problem is, you'll have to modify PLR articles (by as much as 25%) or you'll have these being rejected by article directories for being "too similar" to other articles.

The third way is to write your own articles, which in my opinion is the best way. Why? Because it doesn't cost a cent; it's written with your heart, soul and personality; it gives you more credibility as an expert on the topic; and it's far more satisfying producing your own work.

So what's so good about articles anyway? Well, the benefit is that once you submit to all the directories, your articles will be getting picked up by e-zine publishers and webmasters all over the internet. They may be added to other websites permanently. These articles are going to be read by thousands of people for years to come. You will be seen as an expert on this particular subject and people will click on your link in the author's resource box at the bottom of your article. So you'll be generating traffic and sales from this for a long time. Not only that, the search engines will pick-up on all the links pointing back to your site, which increases your page ranking.

Now if you think you couldn't possibly write an article, you're dead wrong ... you just don't know it yet. When I first started out, I was reading what all the internet gurus were saying, and their number 1 suggestion for internet marketing was article writing. I was very disappointed at the time, thinking ... "that's impossible for me; I don't have the knowledge or skills for that". One day I decided to just sit down and try to write an article. As soon as I decided to take action, and started typing on my keyboard, the words just flowed ... it was easier than I thought it would be and I haven't looked back since.

Ok. So where do you start? First of all, you need to come up with some topics. Get in the habit of carrying pen and paper with you. Whenever you get an idea, write it down straight away. Now choose one of the topics you have written down and create the title. Just remember that the title is your headline, so use it to generate curiosity and interest.

Next step is to write an outline for your article. This outline will be the template for all of your articles. It consists of the intro, the body of the article (containing 3 to 5 main points), the conclusion and the author's resource box. So just roughly jot down an opening sentence and then a few points and ideas for the article.

Now expand on the opening sentence to produce your intro paragraph. This intro will describe what you're about to say in the body of the article. It's important to maintain the reader's interest here and compel them to stay with you.

Next, you have the main points already written down so just expand on each of those points in your own words. Sometimes it's hard to think of things to write (writers' block) but you'll find that as soon as you start writing (anything at all, it doesn't have to be perfect) the words just come to you fairly easily.

Write your articles with the aim of providing info to really help people. Put your personality and heart into it. This will really pay off as your readers will come to trust you and you will make more sales. So aim to help people, don't just try to sell to them.

Finish up the article with a couple of concluding sentences that sums up what you said in the main body of the article. Check all spelling and grammar and give it a final polishing. I usually wait a couple of days and come back to my article with fresh eyes and then tweak it as required. And only then do I submit it to the article directories.

Yes, writing articles does take some effort. But the results and satisfaction more than make it very worthwhile. Give it a try.
Good Luck!

The Internet Marketer's inevitable Cycle of Disillusionment

It's my view that the cycle of disillusionment is not only inevitability but also a necessity. This is true in many aspects of life or with any project, not just Internet marketing, but IM is my current project and I can more readily equate it to that.

So what is the cycle of disillusionment and why is it inevitable?

There are four stages to the cycle and Stage 1 is the dream or fantasy stage.
This is when the spark of an idea comes to you and worms its way into your consciousness. In my case it was seeing an IM offer that promised easy riches while working from home and the fantasy or dream of getting rich quick took hold easily. If you think about it you can equate this to many other things - a potential new relationship, someone catches your eye and you fantasise about what it would be like to be with them. What about the prospect of buying something new and expensive? After all, the best technique a salesman has is to sell a dream or fantasy.

Then you have the reality stage.
You've bought into the dream and are now presented with getting on with realising that dream. You're full of enthusiasm and can't wait to conquer the world. In my Internet venture, I couldn't wait to get to grips with it and as soon as I told the world what I was offering them, they would come flocking and buy in droves.

The next inevitable stage is the frustration stage
you bought into the fantasy, couldn't wait for the reality to start and for a while all looked to be going well. The trouble is, the fantasy and dream are only that and it's impossible for the reality to live up to it. Frustration sets in at it not going quite according to plan. I wasn't getting people flocking to my website and making me instantly rich. What was going wrong?

This can only lead to the total downer stage for want of a better expression.
Where did it all go wrong? I was told it was easy for me to become rich and yet a handful of weeks in it weren’t happening. I'd been sold a pup. I'd been stupid and fallen for hype and I needed to get out of it and get back to real life with its rules of normality.

Fortunately, I didn't get out of it. I saw that the venture I'd signed-up to was governed by the same laws of life and commerce as any other business. What I'd actually got was a presence on the internet which I could use as a vehicle for creating a good long term business based on solid foundations.

I firmly believe that going through this cycle is necessary for anyone to have success in IM. Like any new business, the principles of growth and development are equally relevant to Internet Marketing and if you don't experience the reality check of the cycle, which makes you re-evaluate your goals and strategies, you will always be setting yourself up for disillusionment and disappointment.

Fortunes have been made in IM and many have had their fingers burned.

Online businesses offer a low cost, high earning potential option for budding entrepreneurs and have the advantage of letting you do this from the comfort of your own home if you wish. Be aware of the above process; accept the inevitability of it and then go on to success.

Stop Begging! Start Manifesting

Do you remember that first spark of hope you felt when you watched The Secret? I clearly remember the desire that filled my heart, knowing that – Yes, I can make my dreams come true – FINALLY!
But how many of you soon saw that hope dwindle into frustration?

How many of you (and be honest now) started muttering things like:
- “It seems to work for other people, but I just can’t get it right.”
- “I’m frustrated that sometimes I can get it to work, but sometimes I can’t. What’s the trick?”
- “Why am I having so much trouble?”
- “I think the universe is against me.”
- “I’m trying very, VERY hard but still nothing is happening!”

Don’t worry, you’re not alone. About 97% of people also couldn’t make the Law of Attraction work for them the first time round. Think about it, just like anything else, you have to practice many times before you see success. A child doesn’t learn to walk without falling over a couple of times, right?

But in practice, everything is easier said and done. When you’re frustrated, it’s hard to stay positive. And it’s especially harder to stay positive when the evidence all around you is screams negativity like the unstable economy or senseless acts of violence such as those recently seen in Mumbai.

And do you know what happens when you fail to stay positive? That’s right – you start attracting negative things in to your life.
So how can you make the Law of Attraction work for you – without getting frustrated? How do those who successfully implement the Law of Attraction do it with such confidence and finesse?

Why Simple Landing Pages Work

Are you just getting started in Internet Marketing and you want to sell something? Not having your own product, you decide to try affiliate marketing (selling someone else’s product). OK, great…but how do you do it?

You can buy hundreds of eBooks all with different “systems” or strategies and you can find lots of free information as well. Eventually though, you are going to realize that you will need to make some landing pages.

What are landing pages? Landing pages are where you want your visitor to ”land” and once there, you hope they click on your link to go to the sellers website where they will then buy the product.

Why not just link directly to the seller’s website? Why do you need a landing page at all? Well, it depends on how you are going to get your visitor to the seller’s site. A popular way is by writing articles, having them published, and having readers find those articles and click on the links inside them. The problem is that many article sites do not allow direct affiliate marketing links. They will allow links to your website or landing page but not directly to the seller.

You can learn a lot about landing pages by typing in “What are landing pages” in Google. You will find lots of useful information and tips galore on how to make great landing pages. But just like everything else on the Internet, after reading 10 or so different articles, you may be no closer to making one and confused about exactly what you should do.

I believe the best way to get started is by making simple landing pages that pretty much say to the viewer ‘here is the product and here is where you get it“. I don’t do a lot of “pre-selling” on my landing pages and many Internet marketers would disagree with that. The common consensus is that you should warm your visitor up to the sale by reviewing the item and/or telling them how great it is.

The problem with that is that it is difficult to write convincingly about something you know little about. Another problem for beginners is that their writing skills may not be up to par…at least not yet. That is why I recommend setting up something simple at first.

My opinion is that it is my job (or you might say the landing page’s job) to get the visitor to the seller’s website. It is the seller’s job from there to convert the sale. I sort of just open the door for customers to walk through and let the product and shopkeeper do the rest. If they can’t do their job, then I have to at some time move to another product.

I suggest opening a blogger.com account or Wordpress.com account (which are both free) and use those as your landing pages. Make your site as pretty and colour coordinated as you can (some people will obviously be better at this than others) and do a lot of copying and pasting graphics and words from your sellers website. Only use one link to the seller’s website though, as using free blogs for marketing is frowned on and if you overdo it they could suspend you. Ideally you should get your own domain and hosting but that can be done once you start making money. If you have a Wordpress blog you can even go to YouTube and perhaps find a video about the product you are selling and put that in your blog. Looks great and I’ve done it.

Basically you are making a big advertisement that says “This is where you get so and so product”. If the people you drive to your blog want that product, then they will click on the link to find out more. Once they do that, you have done your job. Making a landing page is the easy part…..getting targeted traffic to your website or blog is much harder.

Starting A Home Based Business? - Avoid These 6 Costly Blunders

A lot of people would like to start an internet home based business. However, many people do not know where to start.

Starting a home based business can be overwhelming and confusing for the inexperienced. The fact that there are a lot of 'business opportunities' on the internet does not make it any easier.

You can easily succeed with your home based business if you just avoid some common mistakes which people make.

So what are some of the common mistakes that people who are starting a home based business usually make?

1. No Plans & objectives. A lot of people start their business with no plans, and this is a very costly mistake. It is important to take the necessary time and effort to plan the business and clearly state the objectives you intend to achieve. Some people start their home based business like a hobby and treat it like one. Do not expect to make millions with your online home based business if you treat it like a hobby.

2. Reinventing the wheel. Some people starting a home based business make their learning curves very hard and long. The internet is full of proven money making business models. You can succeed easily by identifying the business type that you would like to have your home based business focused on, try to find someone who has succeeded with that business and learn from them, and duplicate what they have done to succeed. It is also important to have the necessary support network, which can be a relevant forum where you can learn more about running your home based business successfully.

3. Thinking that you can make money overnight. This is a common misconception which people have, which is also the reason why many people fail and give up easily. Your online home based business is like any other business - you will need to apply the necessary effort and dedication to make it work.

4. Believing that your online home based business doesn't need any capital. This is another very common misconception. If you think you can start and develop a home based business without spending a dime, you are misleading yourself. Be prepared to spend some money to get all the resources you will need to develop your business. Although it varies with the type of the home based business you want to set up, you would need some initial resources that you have to invest in the business. This can be for setting up your website, just as an example. You may also need to buy some resources to make your online home based business fully set up.

5. No market study before creating a product or starting the business. Yet another very common mistake. For your home based business to succeed, you will need to have a market for whatever you will be offering. Demand for your products is the most important factor that determines the success of your home based business. A market study on the current market size and future potential of the product or service is therefore very important.

6. Lacking focus and commitment. Your online business will need a lot of effort for it to succeed, especially during the first two years. You must therefore be prepared to give your business your total commitment.

If you avoid the 6 mistakes outline above, you will succeed with your home based business.

Good Luck in everything that you do!

7 Tips to Get You Motivated

You can have the greatest dream in the world, the most fulfilling purpose, and the best education money can buy, but if you cannot get yourself motivated to put it all into action, you will never reach your goals. Motivation - that is, the ability to get yourself moving - is absolutely essential to any successful endeavour. If you sometimes lag when it comes to this valuable commodity, read on.

1. This may sound like weird advice, but energetic, motivated people need to take care of their health. If you feel draggy or unmotivated, you might be dealing with a bit of depression or other stress related illness. Try to get enough sleep, take your vitamins, and get some fresh air and regular exercise. You'll feel more like tackling those dream-related tasks if you feel good.

2. Plan your work and work your plan. Take the time to make a list of the things you'd like to accomplish. Hopefully, you have written out your goals and given yourself a plan of action, but just a to do list will make a difference. Prioritize the items on the list so that you will complete the most important ones. Sometimes just checking off the done items can feel like a great reward, and will motivate you to get started on the next one.

3. If you're really feeling lazy, here's an idea. Get a timer and tell yourself you only have to work for fifteen minutes. You can quit when the timer rings. Chances are, you'll get interested in the job, and will feel like keeping on with it when the timer goes off. It's even possible that you will have completed that particular task. Often, tasks don't take as long as we think they will. At the very least, you will have worked fifteen minutes. Give yourself a little break and then set the timer again.

4. Get to know when your most energetic times of day are. Are you a morning person? Then you might be better off handling those jobs that require brain energy in the early hours. Save the groggier afternoon hours for mindless tasks. If you're a night owl, that evening energy can be channelled into productive work.

5. Quit trying to be perfect. In fact, throw that p-word out of your vocabulary. Shoot for done and good enough. Feeling like things have to be done perfectly is an invitation to procrastinate. You don't feel like getting started, because you're afraid you won't do the job perfectly. Well, who does? Accept that no one is perfect, and get started.

6. Break the task into tiny steps. For instance, a writer can break articles down into a sentence at a time. Just write the next sentence. Young mothers with a mountain of things to do have been motivated greatly by this motto: "Just do the next thing."

7. Don't underestimate the value of giving yourself a pep talk. Take five minutes to pump up your resolve. Be your own cheerleader as you work your way through a series of positive affirmations.

These seven tips can help you get up and get going on those days when you really would just like to stay in bed and vegetate. So get up, get motivated, and get going!

10 High-Impact Viral Marketing Strategies

Viral Marketing is allowing people to give away and use your free product or service in order to multiply your marketing quickly over the internet. The idea behind viral marketing is that you include your ad with the freebie people give away or use. Below are ten high impact viral marketing strategies:

1. Allow people to reprint your articles on their web site, in their e-zine, newsletter, magazine or eBooks. Include your resource box and the option for article reprints at the bottom of each article.

2. Allow people to use any of your freebies as free bonuses for products or services they sell. Include your ad on all your freebies.

3. Allow people to use your online discussion board for their own web site. Some people don't have one. Just include your banner ad at the top of the board.

4. Allow people to sign up for a free web site on your server. Since you are giving away the space, require them to include your banner ad at the top of the site.

5. Allow people to add their link to your free web site directory. Just require that they return a link back to your web site, advertising you directory.

6. Allow people to provide your free online service to their web site, visitors, or e-zine subscribers. They could be free e-mail, e-mail consulting, search engine submissions, etc.

7. Allow people to give away your free software. Just include your business advertisement inside the software program.

8. Allow people to give away your free web design graphics, fonts, templates, etc. Just include your ad on them or require people to link directly to your web site.

9. Allow people to place an advertisement in your free eBook if, in exchange, they give away the eBook to their web visitors or e-zine subscribers.

10. Allow people to give away your free eBook to their visitors. Then, their visitors will also give it away. This will just continue to spread your ad all over the internet.

Clickbank to the Rescue, an Adsense Alternative

Clickbank is one of the largest and most popular Affiliate Networks around. It has thousands of digital products and thousands of affiliates promoting those products in exchange for a large commission on every item they sell. Commissions vary from 10 per product!

Unfortunately, most affiliates end up losing money with Clickbank or give up all together before they make any money. They lose money because they end up as buyers, buying more and more Clickbank products as they try to learn more on how to promote those products instead of actually selling them.

Mini-sites of yesterday will not work today. The simple one page sale site will not work as effectively any more as it did in the past. The fact that there are so many of these site out there has made competition really fierce. What visitors to web sites want now is content, valuable content!

In recent years another option, Adsense, became an alternative means for online marketers to make a little income, and I do mean little. It used to a 'great little earner'. However, today, Adsense sites return less and less money as competition grows and those who want to do the 'right thing' are left behind by those who don't really care how they 'succeed.'

More and more automatically generated Adsense sites are popping up and more and more fancy algorithms are used to generate those sites. A quick search on Google will return numerous software up for sale to create these sites by the push of a button. How many do you want, one or one thousand? The content of theses generated sites are next to impossible to actual read as they have no meaningful content most of the time. They are geared towards search engines and to create 'place-holders' for Adsense ads.

The number of these sites, and software to generate them, is a good indication of how desperate people are in trying to make a 'living' with Adsense. My guess is that there are very few, if any, people making significant income with Adsense unless you have such a high volume of traffic to your site that the 1 or 2 cents do actually add up to dollars, eventually.

And this is where my old favorite, Clickbank, comes in. With a little twist and lateral thinking you can actually combine the earning power of Clickbank with the ease of use and flexibility of Adsense. Imagine what would happen if you combined Adsense ads with Clickbank products. You could make dollars from your Clickbank 'advertising' instead of getting only one or two cents from Adsense ads.

So how would you go about implementing a system like this? Obviously, the simplest way would be to scour Clicbank's Market place and pick out products which fit in with your sites theme/niche and manually format them to look like Adsense ads. You also want to make sure that you have your Clickbank affiliate id linked to that block of text of course, so that people will buy the product through your Clickbank id and the commission can go straight to your Clickbank account.

The other option is of course some form of automation that allows you to insert Clickbank product listing in your pages at strategic locations. It would ideally have some form of niche/keyword matching so that the Clickbank products inserted to your pages will match the content of those pages.

If you did something like this, your income would increase faster than using Adsense. People are so used to seeing Adsense ads by now that they are trained to ignore them. And, of course, should they lose concentration, there are still the reminders that are sure to put them straight, 'Ads by Google'
